Effectiveness in every inter-personal communication begins with clarity of purpose.  The purpose of Dardick Inter-personal Communications, LLC is to provide tools, processes, support, and insight to others so they may clarify conversational purposes.  Greater clarity empowers people to improve their messages, leverage their strengths, get past blind spots, and tailor their messages to best suit the circumstances.  This means higher quality meetings, more memorable first impressions, and more powerful presentations.

For organizations, clarity of purpose means expressing where the corporate “bus” is going and why.  It means having the “right” people on that bus, and furthermore, that they’re in the “right” seats.  Such an organization is characterized by a fulfilled, dedicated staff and raving fans as customers.

Human nature swims against this ideal vision.  To manifest the healthiest culture possible, strong leadership and a clear, well-articulated vision is required.  Inspired by that leadership, individual team members must be able to express their personal roles and appreciate the contributions of others with respect to how that serves organizational purposes.

There are two main processes that we provide to leaders who want to more fully realize their organization’s potential.  The first is a Job Benchmarking process.  The second is On-Purpose Communication.

Job Benchmarking is the process of defining the qualities that bring success in a professional role.  A job description alone is insufficient.  It leaves too much room for opinion and interpretation.  You review resumes, conduct interviews, and come to a point where you’re 80% sure that you have the right candidate and you hope that they work out.  Job Benchmarking makes up most of that gap.  We begin by gathering the stakeholders who interact with the person in a particular role.  We facilitate a process that  determines Key Accountabilities and their measurements.  Then we use a proven technology to identify and quantify the ideal behavioral, motivational, and soft skill attributes.  Candidates that pass the conventional criteria are given an online pyschometric assessment.  The results are compared to the Benchmark.  The successful candidate will match as closely as possible.  The areas that don’t match provide proactive opportunities to develop the successful candidate.

On-Purpose Communication uses individual Purpose Statements to provide the context for moment to moment decision making for everyone in the organization.  They also serve to increase the appreciation for the others on the team and help to decrease “siloing.”  We begin with a process that identifies and clarifies the organization’s top needs/desires.  This provides the context around which each person on the team expresses their professional purposes.  The result is organizational alignment and improved team function.
